Open House is on Wednesday!
Lakeside Families,
We are so excited to welcome you back to the building on Wednesday, August 26 for Open House! Open House will be from 4:30-6:00 pm. Popsicles with the Principal will follow from 6:00-6:45 pm on the new playground! We can't wait for you to see the inside and outside of our building! There are a few things that will not be complete: flooring in the new section (it's too humid to put the floor down), lockers (on a container ship in China!), and paint in the gym (delayed due to roofing project). All of these projects will be completed in the fall. We are absolutely thrilled with all of the other changes throughout the building and think you will be too!

It's August!
Lakeside Families,
I hope you enjoyed every bit of the hot summer weather that wrapped up the month of July. Are you excited that it's August? Time really is flying!
Our new addition and renovation is coming along very nicely. Walls are painted, sidewalks were put in last week, ceiling tiles are going up, cabinetry will be installed this week, and asphalt will be put down early next week. There have been a few set backs due to products shipping late for mechanical systems, windows, and humidity levels in the building have been high, so flooring may not be in by the time school starts. No worries though--we have several more weeks for all the trades to keep plugging away.
Our PTO and playground committee also put together a beautiful new playground for all of our students in July. It is simply amazing! Thank you SO much to all those who planned, organized, and were building during the community build!
Registration is still planned for Monday, August 17th from 10:30am-12:30pm and 4:30pm-6:00pm at Lakeside in the gym.

Lakeside Construction, July update
Check out photos of construction at Lakeside. The project is coming along smoothly and on schedule! Brick will be completed next week, paving will begin for sidewalks, and some walls are already painted. There is a lot of interior electric and mechanical work to be done, as well as windows and floors. Our new playground goes in late next week. I promise to post more pictures later in July!

Lakeside Construction, June Update
Lakeside Families,
Construction is moving along smoothly at Lakeside and we are still on schedule to open our doors for the start of the 2015-16 school year! Here are some of the pictures of demolition in the old section of the building and construction in the new section. Enjoy! :)

Lakeside Families,
Teacher Appreciation week at Lakeside was absolutely fantastic! Thank you to all parents, our PTO, and teacher appreciation coordinator, Melissa Palecek for all the wonderful meals, desserts, and special treats! The "Superhero" theme was a hit! :)
