The Pancake Man!

Last night, Lakeside had The Pancake Man cooking up pancakes for families. Families were able to shop at the Book Fair before and after eating, which was also an excitement! Here are a few fun pictures from the night!

Flags for First Graders

Earlier today, The Forty & Eight group, a charitable honor society of American Veterans, came to Lakeside to deliver flags to all first grade students. Ten veterans came and explained the importance of our American flag. They gave the students facts about the stars and stripes, folding the flag, and how to show respect for the flag. Enjoy these pictures!

Artists-in-Residency pictures

Lakeside students had a great time creating a song about civility with Tom Pease and Stuart Stotts. Here's the chorus to our new song:

Community
You and Me
Know It, Show It,
It's the Key
Civility!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

This week we've celebrated Dr. Seuss in many ways. We've worn costumes to school, had a school spirit (black and orange) day, answered Dr. Seuss trivia, dropped everything to read, and today we wore black, red, and white to celebrate Dr. Seuss and Cat and the Hat. Check out a few pictures of our celebrations!
